Instructors Wanted - Nevada Technical Associates, Inc. welcomes resumes from those who may be interested in teaching short courses similar to the ones we offer. We are especially interested in instructors who can teach courses that we do not currently offer. Certification in Health Physics or an advanced degree in Health Physics or a closely related field are minimum requirements. This is a part time position only and can best be filled by someone who is currently employed but who has the time to work a few weeks each year in our courses.

Health Physicist

Job Details:
Location: San Diego, California
Pay: $60-65k
Start Date: ASAP

Job Responsibilities

•	Conducting the design, development, organization and execution of assigned radiation safety programs while working under the Radiation Safety Officer.
•	Provides technical support to selected Radioisotope Use Authorizations (RUAs).
•	Prepares radiation safety training and provides radiation program technical support to the Research Assistance Group. 
•	Compute dose estimates for exposures from radiopharmaceuticals, x-ray, CT, PET and radioactive drugs used in research.
•	Compile technical reports that will be submitted to the FDA and Department of Health Services.

Job Qualifications

•	Bachelors Degree in Radiation Safety or Science related field
•	Valid California Driver’s License.
•	Knowledge of California Radiation Control Regulations, DOT regulations and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations.
•	Understanding of the Broadscope Type A Radioactive Materials License.
•	Knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals used in nuclear medicine procedures for diagnosis and therapy.

Senior Health Physicist Job Details: Location: San Diego, California Pay: $70-75k Start Date: ASAP Job Responsibilities • Provide technical support for assigned Radioisotope Use Authorizations. • Conduct radiation safety support for all Radiation Oncology and Nuclear Medicine operations. • Collaborate with the head technologist to ensure Standard Operating Procedures are correct. • Oversee radiation safety technicians. • Complete audits of Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine and PET centers. • Administer the safe use of radioactive materials during therapy procedures. Job Qualifications • Bachelors Degree in Radiation Safety, Health Physics or physical science. • Masters Degree in related field is highly preferred. • Valid California Driver’s License. • Previous experience working at medical centers. • Knowledge of California Radiation Control Regulations, DOT regulations and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations. • Proficient with radioisotope measurement and analysis techniques using: liquid scintillation, NaI spectroscopy, survey equipment and gas proportional counters. • Capable of writing technical and general audience directed reports. *For immediate consideration please contact Julie Wood at (760) 916-1735 or email resume to juwood@aerotek.com.
