This course is intended for quality assurance officers, radiochemists, auditors, data validators and others who need an understanding of quality assurance practices and data validation in radiochemisty and gamma spectroscopy. The course will review the most commonly used analytical procedures in radiochemistry with special emphasis on quality assurance practices required for data validation.

The course will cover statistics, regulatory guides, control charts, audits, quality assurance plans, QA/QC guidelines, calibration and other topics of importance to radiochemical quality assurance. The last two days of the course will discuss techniques used for data validation and will include a practical exercise in validating a data package. The instructors are Dr. Robert Holloway and Dr. Hermon Rao.

The course will be held at the facilities of Nuclear Technology Services at 635 Hembree Parkway in Roswell. The course begins at 8:30 and ends at noon on the last day. There are a number of hotels in Roswell where attendees can stay. We recommend The Courtyard by Marriott as it is only a few minutes drive from the course location. The Courtyard is located at 1500 Market Blvd in Roswell and the phone number is 770-992-7200. Attendees should allow slightly more than an hour to travel from the airport to Roswell by private car. Shuttle service is available from Roswell to and from the airport but more time should be allowed. Roswell is a northern suburb and the airport is south of Atlanta. About the Instructors
