About Nevada Technical Associates, Inc.

Nevada Technical Associates, Inc., is a business established for the purpose of providing consulting and training in radiation safety, health physics, radiochemistry and related topics. We can provide assistance in license applications, audits, writing of procedures and other aspects of radiation safety.

The president is Dr. Robert Holloway, a radiochemist with over 25 years experience in radiation safety. He was formerly employed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Las Vegas, Nevada, in work related to radiological monitoring in the vicinity of the underground nuclear weapons test site in Nevada. He resigned from the EPA in 1994 to start Nevada Technical Associates, Inc. He is the author of numerous publications in the area of radionuclides in the environment.

Nevada Technical Associates, Inc., now offers a variety of short courses, in Las Vegas and other cities. We also provide onsite training courses to suit your needs. Our customers include many of the major organizations in the nuclear industry. A partial list of customers includes Martin Marietta Energy Systems, The Boeing Corporation, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, The Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Westinghouse Savannah River, Sandia National Laboratory, The Environmental Protection Agency, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, EG & G Inc., Raytheon Services Nevada, and the health departments of Texas, Florida, New Jersey, New Mexico and Ohio. Military customers include all branches of service. Foreign customers include the research and regulatory agencies of Finland, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, England and Bulgaria. We have conducted a number of onsite courses outside of the United States.

This year we have scheduled a variety of courses that are listed in the course schedule of this web site. We can also design special onsite courses to fit the needs of our customers.

In addition to providing training courses, we have a wide range of products related to radiation safety and other types of safety. We have video tapes on radiation safety as well as on general safety topics. We also sell software for various types of safety training.

Our instructors are well qualified and usually are either Certified Health Physicists or have an advanced degree in the appropriate speciality. We welcome contacts and resumes from other professionals. Currently we are especially interested in talking to instructors with experience in teaching radiological courses that we do not currently offer.

Nevada Technical Associates also has a working relationship with Nuclear Technology Services, of Roswell, Georgia. They offer a full range of radiochemical services as detailed in their web page (to view their page return to the home page and click on their name). We have some of our courses scheduled at the facility of Nuclear Technology Services, so that attendees will be able to take advantage of "hands on" experience in gamma spectroscopy and liquid scintillation counting.
